Lord, build me up with Thy words of forgiveness

For You, Lord, I seek to please

With words of forgiveness, I'd build others up

Please, Lord, I am on my knees

Lord, build me up with Thy words of compassion

And let me seek none but Thee

Please, let me know just a part of your glory

And from You, I'd never flee

Lord, may I build up with Thy words of thanksgiving

Any who hear my voice

The stream of your blessings does yet never cease

And for that, Lord, I rejoice

Lord, enrich me with your bountiful wisdom

Beginning with fear of You

Let all those who hear me be filled with your Spirit

For You have born me anew

Lord, protect me with Thy words of correction

For from You, I often stray

Ne'er let me be apart from your wisdom

And with me always stay

Lord, strengthen me with the words you have given

For your power they contain

Compassion, correction, and Thy forgiveness

The Scriptures shall maintain
